Job Description

Main tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :

  1. Ensure the adequate implementation of the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policy.
  2. Carry out, control, and update Environmental Aspect-Impact and Hazard Risk Assessments.
  3. Implement measures to minimize environmental impact, including proper disposal of chemicals and waste materials.
  4. Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and organizational requirements.
  5. Apply engineering principles and practices related to design, installation, commissioning, and plant operations and maintenance.
  6. Manage own workload and adapt work schedule to meet business demands.
  7. Supervise engineers, technicians, and operators, providing technical guidance and reviewing daily work and results.
  8. Provide technical input to the Operations & Maintenance team, ensuring client process quality, engineering design, and safety standards are met, demonstrating creativity and engineering judgment.
  9. Identify and deliver staff training and appraisals.
  10. Manage staff levels, wages, hours, and contracts to optimize revenues.
  11. Oversee department managers and supervisors, with review and approval responsibilities for operations staff.
  12. Review and approve operational invoices for payment.
  13. Supervise plant maintenance activities, including preventative and corrective maintenance, and startups.
  14. Verify implementation of preventive maintenance plans and work orders for corrective maintenance.
  15. Evaluate operations, recommend improvements, and verify adherence to KPIs and procedures.
  16. Identify root causes of non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  17. Contribute to strategic planning, prepare action plans, and improve production, quality, and customer service standards.
  18. Forecast requirements, prepare budgets, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions.
  19. Ensure operations are cost-effective and improve management systems and processes.
  20. Oversee material purchasing, inventory planning, and warehouse efficiency.
  21. Serve as the primary contact for customer issues related to equipment, service, or on-site incidents.
  22. Communicate with the operations team to improve customer experience and resolve problems.
  23. Collaborate with management to implement policies and procedures.
  24. Maintain communication channels with stakeholders regarding progress and challenges.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's / B.E. / Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Knowledge of general construction activities related to electrical and mechanical works.
  • Troubleshooting skills for water equipment and instruments.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and execute responsibilities.
  • Strong decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with composure in critical situations.
  • Attention to detail and diligence.
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team with good interpersonal skills.
  • Effective customer-facing communication skills.
  • Openness to guidance and willingness to relocate or travel within KSA and abroad.
