Job Purpose:
The job holder is responsible for planning and implementing the system’s operations, including shift operation schedule development, pipelines monitoring capacity gap analysis, and operational reports consolidation in order to ensure the proper functioning of the system.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of Operations’ systems, practices, cost optimization, and productivity & efficiency improvement.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards within WTCO and related functions such as but not limited to (HC, HSSE, Risk, Cybersecurity, etc..).
- Escalate problems to ensure case/issue is closed efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the annual business plans, goals, policies, processes, procedures, and instructions.
- Develop daily shift operation schedule based on demand forecast, system capacity, shutdown schedule, the quantity of water supplied, and scheduled interruptions of water sources supplied transmitted for maintenance purposes.
- Ensure analyze capacity gap analysis and help identify needed skills to effectively allocate internal teams per shift or appoint external parties for the proper functioning of the transmission system.
- Ensure investigation encroachments, shutdowns, and performance variances and contribute to prompt implementation of mitigation plan developed to initiate required corrective action steps.
- Ensure proper coordination between Central Control Room (CCR) and Local Control Room (LCR) in order to guarantee efficient operation in compliance with set plans, standards, and requirements.
- Ensure consolidating operation, accident, and shutdown reports, analyze operations schedule efficiency and performance, and propose modifications to system designs or operational procedures to maximize productivity.
- Ensure assessing water quality, cooling systems, and pump oil systems performance to identify gaps in quality levels and systems efficiency.
- Ensure comparing the current forecast with actual consumption, issue lessons learned, and develop reports that help in the development of next year’s water forecast.
- Ensure support in planning and designing all works pertaining to rehabilitation and replacement of transmission systems equipment.
- Solve complex issues escalated from CCR or LCR and try to find adequate solutions in a timely manner without interrupting operation activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental procedures to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, and high-quality service.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Diploma’s Degree in Technical and preferably
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant fields
