Job description

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all daily activities within the kitchen to ensure efficient and high-quality workflow. This role includes monitoring food preparation, organizing the kitchen team, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and supervising meal quantities to guarantee timely delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily kitchen activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Monitor food preparation to ensure quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
  • Assign tasks and schedule daily shifts to ensure optimal productivity.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels of ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
  • Assist in training and developing kitchen staff performance.
  • Coordinate with procurement and quality teams to ensure proper supply and storage.
  • Oversee the implementation of daily operational instructions and ensure team compliance.
  • Monitor daily meal preparation quantities and ensure alignment with planned numbers.
  • Review quantity sheets and ensure meal readiness according to shift requirements.
  • Coordinate with distribution/service departments to ensure timely meal delivery.
  • Prepare regular reports on performance and operational observations for management.

Skills

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Good knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP systems.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic (spoken and written).
