The BHS Operation and Maintenance Manager will oversee the efficient operation, maintenance, and service of the Baggage Handling System (BHS) at Red Sea International Airport. The role is crucial in ensuring that the BHS operates smoothly and without disruption, maintaining a high level of reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction/Delights. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, leading the maintenance team, and ensuring all safety and performance standards are met.
1.1.2.Key Responsibilities:Operational Management:
Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the BHS to ensure smooth and uninterrupted baggage handling processes.
Monitor system performance and address any issues promptly, minimizing downtime and optimizing system reliability.
Ensure compliance with airport safety and operational regulations.
Maintenance Management :
Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for all BHS equipment and systems.
Coordinate and supervise maintenance activities, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
Track system performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Team Leadership:
Lead, train, and develop a team of BHS operators and maintenance technicians to ensure optimal performance.
Foster a collaborative team environment and ensure all team members are aligned with the company s operational goals.
Set clear expectations for team performance and provide guidance and support.
Maintain and Monitor KPIs:
Maintain and monitor the contract KPIs to ensure optimal performance and compliance with agreed-upon metrics.
Regularly assess KPI performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Report on KPI status and provide insights to management for continuous improvement.
Budget and Cost Control:
Maintain and monitor the contract KPIs
Manage the budget for BHS operations and maintenance activities, ensuring cost-effective management of resources and expenditures.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement while maintaining the highest operational standards.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and submit regular reports on BHS performance, maintenance activities, and any issues or incidents.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, system updates, and incident resolutions.
Prepare the SOPs , CSOPs and SLA
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards, including ensuring proper training and certification for team members.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions as needed.
Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with other airport departments, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth coordination of activities related to BHS operations and maintenance.
Engage with senior management and other stakeholders to provide updates on system performance and any planned upgrades or maintenance.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer decision-makers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and engagement.
Anticipate the customer s business needs, service requirements, and processes to exceed operational goals and improve the customer s value chain.
Process Improvement and Project Leadership:
Lead process improvement projects to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and system reliability.
Identify and implement innovations and improvements that contribute to the continuous development of the service site.
