Overview

We are seeking an Oil Reservoir Management Engineer to join our Petroleum Engineering/Oil Reservoir Management Department.

The department is responsible for developing and managing world-class fields, reservoirs, and reserves, leveraging cutting-edge technology and innovation at our state-of-the-art Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Center in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Our organization conducts pioneering research, introduces new technologies, and provides engineering services as part of our customized reservoir management practices.

Role Description

The Oil Reservoir Management Engineer will serve as an expert in Oil Reservoir Management, providing guidance and advice for designing, implementing, and optimizing reservoir management programs for Saudi Aramco’s largest onshore and offshore oil fields. The role involves engagement with leaders and experts across the upstream business as a senior technical professional.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance on reservoir management principles, practices, and technologies across all Saudi Aramco hydrocarbon assets.
  • Formulate reservoir development plans, data acquisition strategies, and monitoring masterplans to optimize asset development and depletion, maximizing NPV and hydrocarbon recovery.
  • Lead and design integrated field reviews and development plans.
  • Prepare reservoir engineering inputs for drilling and workover proposals, recommending innovative completion techniques, including horizontal and multilateral wells.
  • Lead studies on optimizing recovery through reservoir stimulation modeling of IOR processes.
  • Engage in professional development activities, including participating in technical societies, sharing expertise, and mentoring engineers.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • At least 10 years of experience, with a minimum of 7 years in oil reservoir management.
  • Training in specialized courses and seminars.
  • Knowledge of logs, geological modeling, simulation, and production procedures.
  • Expertise in formation evaluation, reservoir appraisal, field development, and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, and data analytics.
  • Experience with modern reservoir management practices.
