Job Mission

• Perform technical tasks assigned by the Project Structural Lead, such as structural analyses, calculations, design, verification, or study activities.
• Interface with other Project Specialists and Designers.
• Coordinate and review technical activities performed inside or outside Saipem.

Job Responsibilities

• Review client technical documentation and requirements.
• Contribute to defining structural design premises.
• Assist in writing the Project Structural Design Brief, outlining all structural design and analysis work.
• Liaise with other Project Specialists and Designers to ensure proper completion of assigned tasks.
• Design structural systems and components, focusing on sound engineering, cost-effectiveness, fabrication simplicity, constructability, and safety.
• Perform, check, or supervise structural analyses.
• Supervise and approve steel structure design drawings.
• Supervise the setup of bill of quantities or material take-offs (MTO).
• Prepare specifications for structural fabrications and related items such as bearing systems, bolts, cladding, and grating.
• Verify the structural strength or dynamic behavior of items designed by others, including piping support specialists, vendors, and suppliers.
• Apply the Quality Control procedures of the Offshore Structural Department during assigned work.
• Perform field engineering activities as required.
