The core manufacturing activities of the industries operating under alfanar Building Systems are:

• Precast concrete products and architectural elements

As an HSE Officer you will be responsible for implementing and managing health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure the well-being of employees and compliance with industry regulations. This role involves identifying and mitigating potential hazards unique to the precast concrete manufacturing environment.

Key Accountability Areas

Precast Process Safety:

  • Understand the specific safety considerations associated with precast concrete manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and implement safety measures for handling, casting, and transporting precast elements.

Equipment Safety:

  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to address equipment safety concerns promptly.

Casting Area Safety:

  • Implement safety protocols for workers involved in the casting and molding of precast concrete elements.
  • Monitor and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in casting areas.

Material Handling and Storage:

  • Develop and enforce procedures for the safe handling, storage, and transportation of raw materials used in precast manufacturing.

Crane and Lifting Safety:

  • Oversee the safe operation of cranes and lifting equipment used in precast operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of lifting equipment and ensure proper training for operators.

Silica Dust and Respiratory Protection:

  • Address silica dust exposure concerns through the implementation of effective control measures.
  • Provide training on the proper use of respiratory protection equipment.

Fall Protection:

  • Implement fall protection measures, especially in areas where employees are working at heights during precast production.
  • Conduct regular inspections of fall protection systems.
  • Develop and oversee waste management procedures, particularly in the handling and disposal of waste materials generated during precast operations.

Emergency Response Planning:

  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans specific to the precast industry.
  • Conduct drills and exercises to ensure the readiness of the response team.

Delivery:

  • Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.

  • Solve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

  • Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.

Compliance:

  • Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Health, Safety, and Environment:

  • Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
