Summary
Within the mission, vision, and values of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, lead, manage, and oversee the activities of Nursing Education. Establish and monitor all educational programs in accordance with the needs of the multicultural nursing staff, students, interns, and residents.
Education/Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing
- Master's Degree in Nursing/Education
Experience Post-Qualifications:
- Experience from North America, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand is a must.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of current clinical nursing experience following licensure/registration in the country of origin, with at least five (5) years in a managerial capacity, including two (2) years in a comparable position.
License:
- Current and in good standing Nursing License/Registration (RN) to practice in the country of residence.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the activities and operations of Nursing Education by assessing, initiating, and analyzing the educational needs of nursing staff, students, interns, and residents. Communicate educational recommendations to nursing executives and administrative personnel.
- Facilitate and design educational programs aligned with the Nursing Services practice model, goals, and objectives, appropriate for the multicultural nursing staff, students, interns, and residents. Ensure implementation of a competency-based nursing orientation program.
- Maintain all records related to the operation of the assigned area and generate reports as required.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate educational activities to meet the identified needs of Nursing Services staff, students, interns, and residents.
- Create an environment that supports scientific nursing, research, and practice. Participate in quality improvement processes and activities.
- Advocate for patient and program needs, promoting continuity of care in educational activities.
- Monitor workload, administrative systems, resolve operational issues, ensure compliance with rules and regulations, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coach, guide, and evaluate staff; facilitate training and professional development.
- Represent the department in inter-departmental coordination and external stakeholder engagement. Deputize and assume responsibilities of similar or higher positions as required.
- Prepare and present reports and relevant correspondence.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
