Job description

Role Purpose:

To achieve Health and Life product sales goals for SME & Retail segment in the region through following up on opportunity pipeline, engaging in meetings with potential customers, pitching Tawuniya products, and closing deals to expand market share in the region through field sales.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Field Sales Planning:

  • Perform research on potential customer to identify needed information.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential customer prior to meetings to get insights and reflect findings in sales pitch.
  • Coordinate with Sales Support to align on requirements (i.e., pending documents for collection, timeline for quotation issuance, special requests by the customer, etc.)

Field Sales Operations:

  • Conduct sales activities for small/medium accounts customers and escalate activity when needed to improve chances of sales closure.
  • Contact prospects to brief about Tawuniya and the intended product in line with pre-set guidelines.
  • Conduct meetings with potential customers to deliver sales pitch and clarify potential customer doubts while leveraging due diligence as well as pre-developed tools (i.e., presentations, brochures, cards, etc.)
  • Provide advice and consultancy to potential customer to ensure customer is aware of Tawuniya’s value proposition and products and to address pain points and issues.
  • Identify customer target rate and negotiate with Underwriting accordingly to issue policy.
  • Follow up on qualified customer and engage in visits to conduct policy negotiation and handle objections.
  • Follow up with Sales Support on administrative and operational support activities to ensure requirements are met.
  • Perform calculation to identify hit ratio, sales cycle timeframe, conversion rate, etc. and analyze sales performance.
  • Analyze new customers database and detect trends in conversion rate to identity new potential leads.
  • Identify shortfalls and areas for improvement pertaining to field sales activities and engagements with potential customer.
  • Develop sales reports highlighting performance and areas of underperformance in field sales activities.

Policies, Procedures and Processes:

  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance productivity, attain high quality outputs, and cost-effective results in line with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct day-to-day activities ensuring compliance with stipulated policies, procedures and processes, and escalated identified noncompliance cases.

Internal Stakeholders: Sales Support, Marketing, Sales Excellence and Quality, Sales Planning and Performance.

External Stakeholders: Customers.

Education: A bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent is required.
