Job description

Help diagnose and treat neurological diseases and disorders, perform non-invasive neurological tests on patients as directed by Physician using different electro neuro diagnostics equipment. Neuro tech frequently use electroencephalogram (EEG) machine which monitors and records brain patterns.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
  1. Nerve conduction studies (NCS)
  2. Perform other neurology procedures
  3. Prepare and assist patients for prescribed procedures
  4. Explain procedures and provide education to patients and families
  5. Adhere to infection control principles
  6. Follow JCIA / CBAHI standards to ensure patient safety
  7. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
  8. Follow documentation policies
  9. Assist the Neurologist in performing NCS and Electromyography (EMG)
  10. Operate and manage neurodiagnostic equipment and report malfunctions
  11. Answer patient and family queries
  12. Initiate emergency measures and call for help when needed
  13. Maintain stock supplies and reorder timely
  14. Keep proper records of procedures for billing purposes
  15. Schedule patients to prevent delays and ensure satisfaction
  16. Perform portable procedures for in-patients and other departments
  17. Ensure proper use and care of equipment and supplies
  18. Provide post-procedure care, ensuring patient comfort and safety
  19. Attend educational and training sessions
  20. Participate in meetings as required
  21. Contribute to person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG
  22. Enhance patient experience with compassion, respect, and dignity
  23. Perform delegated tasks by the Charge Nurse within your scope of knowledge and skills
Education / Professional Qualification:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience or Nursing with Neuroscience certification
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience, preferably in the same area
