Overview:
The Network Security Head is responsible for the design and implementation of telecom-specific security controls across ADC’s 4G/5G telecom network infrastructure. This includes securing network domains such as RAN, Core, and Transport on the 4G/5G network through architecture, design, and engineering activities. The role ensures that ADC’s telecom infrastructure security aligns with broader corporate and Information Security strategies, without duplicating enterprise or IT security functions.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement telecom infrastructure security frameworks for 4G/5G in collaboration with the Information Security Architecture team, ensuring alignment with ADC’s corporate cybersecurity strategy.
- Develop and implement security controls for 4G/ 5G-specific technologies, including network slicing security, MEC security, subscriber authentication, and encryption mechanisms.
- Evaluate and support the integration of telecom-specific security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, signaling protection), ensuring alignment with network architecture standards.
- Perform telecom-focused risk assessments and support penetration testing of RAN, Core, and Transport domains, providing findings and recommendations to the central Information Security team.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to secure SDN/NFV-based transport networks, ensuring compliance with Zero Trust security models and cloud-native security practices.
- Contribute to incident response activities by supporting containment and remediation within the telecom infrastructure, in coordination with the primary Information Security Incident Response team.
- Guide the selection and implementation of AI-driven telecom-specific security automation tools, enhancing ADC’s ability to detect and respond to emerging network security threats in real time.
- Define and document network security requirements, technical guidelines, and configuration baselines for the 4G/5G telecom network infrastructure, ensuring they align with broader security governance frameworks and with best practices.
- Provide domain-specific reporting on telecom infrastructure risks and compliance status, feeding into organization-wide cybersecurity dashboards and executive reviews.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity/ network security, Network Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Cybersecurity/ network security architecture, design, or engineering, with at least 3 years in telecom security roles
Skills:
- Expertise in 4G/5G telecom network security
- Strong network security architecture skills
- Proficiency in penetration testing, threat modeling, and security analytics for telecom infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of 3GPP security specifications and industry best practices.
