A leading company at Medina Airport seeks a motivated Network & Security Engineer to enhance its IT team. The role involves managing perimeter security, network operations, and automating processes. This position requires expertise in firewalls, DDI operations, and advanced troubleshooting skills to ensure a secure infrastructure in a fast-paced aviation environment.
We are seeking a talented, motivated Network & Security Engineer to join our IT team at Medina Airport. You will be the subject‐matter expert for perimeter services—firewalls, proxies, IDS—as well as DDI (DNS, DHCP, IP address management), SD-WAN, and web application protection. You’ll design, deploy, and maintain next-gen security infrastructure, troubleshoot complex network issues, and mentor junior engineers. If you’re a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced aviation environment, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Perimeter Security Management
Lead maintenance, configuration, and daily operations of next‐generation firewalls (Palo Alto preferred), proxies, and intrusion detection systems.
Perform security risk assessments for firewall rule implementations; ensure policies align with industry best practices.
Configure and troubleshoot Azure NSG, Load Balancer, and UDR for cloud‐integrated components.
Network & DDI Operations
Manage DNS, DHCP, and IP address allocations (DDI) for the airport’s network—process reservations, update resource records, and maintain IPAM tooling.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex DNS / DHCP / network issues, including packet captures, log analysis, and root-cause identification.
Support SD-WAN deployments and ensure stable, high-availability connections between terminals.
Design, Implementation & Automation
Participate in planning new hardware deployments, ensuring resource availability for network and security services.
Recommend, implement, and deliver technology solutions based on business requirements (, traffic segmentation, segmentation micro-perimeters, or web application firewalls).
Design and develop automation / orchestration tools to streamline configuration drifts, policy updates, and routine maintenance tasks.
Lead resolution of critical major incidents related to perimeter security or network outages; collaborate with global SMEs and engineering teams.
Mentor junior members of the global security team—provide technical training, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and incident response.
Work closely with subject-matter experts and cross-functional teams to design and implement integrated network and security solutions.
Contribute to a central technology services organization—ensure alignment with enterprise-wide architecture, compliance, and audit requirements.
Stay current on technology trends; evaluate, test, and recommend new security / network tools to enhance the airport’s infrastructure.
