Job Summary:
The Network Architect Manager is responsible for designing and building data communication networks. These networks can range from smaller local area networks (LANs) to larger wide area networks (WANs) and intranets. Their work involves planning, designing, and implementing network systems that meet an organization’s needs. Once deployed, they monitor the network and perform network modeling tasks to assess future requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
- Planning and designing data communication networks.
- Presenting network plans to management staff.
- Overseeing the network implementation process, including setting schedules and budgets. Implementing upgrades to hardware and software as needed.
- Performing maintenance and repairs to network equipment.
- Keeping documentation of networks, including drawings, descriptions and configurations. Researching network technologies and staying up to date on advancements in the field.
- Implementing strategic network and security designs while following industry best practices. Collaborating with management staff to determine the organization's networking needs.
- Ensuring maintenance of current network and making upgrades or adjustments as needed.
- Researching to ensure network uses high-quality, up-to-date technology and equipment.
- Performing tests, installation and maintenance on required equipment. Establishing performance management metrics for networks.
- Troubleshooting and resolving network bugs, performance issues and other problems. Developing and maintaining accurate documentation for reference.
- Preparing project plans, including schedule, resources and budget estimates to present to management staff.
- Directing large-scale network and security infrastructure projects.
- Participating in meetings to gather information regarding data, business and user requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude:
- Educational Qualifications and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/IS/IMS or equivalent, Master’s degree and or equivalent professional certificates are preferred.
- Knowledge: DevSecOps. Cybersecurity. Section IV Competency Requirements should be at L3.
- Expert level in one of the following career paths:
- Business Analyst and Experience Design.
- Software Engineer.
- System Engineer.
- Cyber Security.
- Data & Analytics.
- Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Arabic. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years hand on managing same or similar solution.
