Job Description
- Job Objective: To fulfill the role of Level-03 Network Engineer, responsible for the complete network package including design, implementation, and commissioning.
- Prepare network artifacts for technical proposals.
- Participate in projects to provide network solutions until successful implementation.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco ASR 1000/9000 series routers for enterprise networks.
- Implement and optimize routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and ISIS.
- Manage interfaces and topology, including Ethernet, Gigabit, and 10-Gigabit interfaces, VLAN trunking, IP addressing, and routing.
- Design and implement network redundancy for high availability.
- Develop high-level and low-level network designs, test plans, and documentation.
- Conduct capacity planning and develop scalability strategies.
- Develop vendor selection proposals, especially for Thales solutions.
- Lead multivendor network deployment and validation, including core, distribution, and access layers.
- Design and implement security layers within the network infrastructure.
- Perform troubleshooting at Level-2 and Level-3, diagnose complex issues, and resolve network problems.
- Develop and execute network maintenance strategies, liaise with vendors, and monitor infrastructure lifecycle.
- Support bid activities involving network work packages, focusing on security networks and integration.
- Manage vendor tickets and escalated support cases to ensure resolution and customer satisfaction.
Work Experience Requirements
- Experience in designing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining Cisco ASR 1000/9000 routers.
- Expertise in switching and routing, including Layer 2 protocols, Spanning Tree, VSS, VRF, VRF-Lite, Security, Firewalls, WAN routing, VOIP.
- Strong background in leading network and security implementations in large data centers.
- Ability to build test beds for network solutions and derive production configurations.
- Ownership of network architectural documentation and change logs.
- Experience in data center network design, implementation, troubleshooting, and handover activities.
- Proven practical skills in enterprise data center networking, demonstrating CCIS level expertise in R&S.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
- Skills in advanced Cisco ASR router configuration, interface setup, high availability, VSS, QoS, and redundancy.
- Ability to prepare and present clear design and implementation deliverables.
