Job description

We are pleased to offer you the position of MYP Mathematics Teacher Or MYP Science Teacher . You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, inquiry-based math or Science instruction aligned with the IB MYP framework, while supporting students' academic and personal growth. This role also includes collaborative planning and a commitment to differentiated, concept-driven learning while crafting and reviewing the math or Science curriculum vertically and horizontally.

  • Deep knowledge of the MYP Mathematics Or MYP Science curriculum and assessment criteria
  • Ability to teach a range of mathematical or Science concepts using inquiry-based and concept-driven approaches
  • Experience with criterion-related assessment and student reflection
  • Proficiency in integrating technology and digital tools into math or Science instruction
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative and committed to team planning and curriculum development
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Open-minded, reflective, and responsive to feedback
  • Passionate about empowering students to become independent, lifelong learners

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; a teaching certification is preferred
  • Master’s degree (MSc) in Mathematics or Science or Education is a strong advantage
  • Proficient in English language instruction, with a strong focus on developing mathematical literacy and conceptual understanding
  • Demonstrated proficiency and confidence in teaching Mathematics, and integrating Science and interdisciplinary content, aligned with curriculum requirements for middle grade levels
  • Passion for teaching mathematics to young learners and a solid understanding of their cognitive and socio-emotional development
  • Well-organized, reflective, and committed to ongoing professional growth.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience, ideally as an MYP math or Science teacher
  • Experience teaching the IB MYP is preferred; however, exceptional candidates without IB experience will also be considered
  • Familiarity with IB curriculum and philosophy, especially concept-driven and inquiry-based approaches
  • Knowledge of a variety of effective, student-centered teaching strategies in mathematics instruction.
  • Understanding of the American curriculum and international education standards is a plus.

  • Ability to create and implement effective lesson plans that are engaging, relevant, and appropriately challenging
