Education Degree
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Microbiology or Lab Testing or related field to his or her specialty.
Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of Safety in Laboratory, HSE, Quality & ISO 17025
- Strong computer and communication skills, including written & verbal English
Experience
Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience.
Primary Functions
- Conduct tests and analysis with an acceptable degree of accuracy and quality in conformance with established methods, instructions, and quality standards under the supervision of the Assistant Laboratory Manger / senior staff
- Responsible for maintenance of environmental controls (i.e. moisture, temperature, sterility etc.) in the laboratory in line with international standards and company procedures
- Record test results and support the production of test reports describing procedures/methodology used and present results in an appropriate/required manner
- Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment and assist with the calibration of laboratory instruments in line with appropriate standards and internal procedures
- Follow laboratory requirements and procedures to ensure test/analytical results are available for issue in the agreed target times
- Preparation and sterilization of media for the laboratory
- Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including QHSE requirements using company policies and procedures as appropriate
- Ensure that test/analytical results conform to set laboratory requirements and are available for issue in the agreed target times
- Participate actively in the PTP programs and follow up on SQC’s completion to comply with internal laboratory quality systems
- Assist the Laboratory Manager / senior staff to enhance capability levels in the laboratory through on job training of junior staff
- Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including QHSSE requirements using company policies and procedures as appropriate
Technical Expertise
Have sound knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 guidelines, QHSSE; relevant instrument expertise
