Microbiologist

1. Job Objective:

1.1 To establish procedure for authority and responsibilities of personnel working in the Quality Control - Microbiology Department.

2. Duties, Responsibilities and Authorities:

2.1 This procedure is applicable to quality control – microbiology in Alrazi Pharma Ind. Dammam.

1. Shall be responsible for water sampling testing required for microanalysis.
2. Shall be responsible for preparation of executing test method related to micro analysis.
3. Shall be responsible for environmental monitoring in controlled area and micro lab.
4. Shall be responsible for analysis of the samples as per existing release specification.
5. Shall be responsible for handling and storage of samples as per laid down SOP.
6. Shall be responsible for indent and maintenance of micro lab items.
7. Shall be responsible for ensuring that all laboratory activities are carried out in compliance with existing SOPs.

3. Education/Licensure:

3.1 Special Education/Licensure (if governmental or regulatory special requirements):

1. Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, life science.
2. Master’s degree in microbiology, biology, life science.

4. Professional Experience:

4.1 Special Professional Experience:

1. Shall be responsible for ensuring that all the activities carried out in the laboratory follow cGMP/cGLP/safety guidelines.
2. Shall be responsible for calibration of instruments and related documentation and maintenance of the record.
3. Shall be responsible for disposal of waste and contribute to environmental friendliness and preservation.
4. Shall be responsible to ensure that all the activities carried out in the laboratory meet with the company policy.

4.2 General Professional Experience:

1. Shall be responsible for handling the instruments as per standard operating procedure.
2. Shall be responsible for following the aseptic technique in microbiology laboratory.
3. Shall be aware of microbiology latest update techniques and procedures.

5. Core Competencies:

1. Knowledge of Microbiology testing procedures.
2. Handle lab equipment with operational procedures.
3. Compliance with safety protocols.

6. Work Conditions:

6.1 Strictly follow the safety procedure to avoid microbial contamination.
