JOB PURPOSE :

Lincoln College International (LCI) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Technician specializing in Metal Fabrication, Machining, Sheet Metal Work, and Welding techniques to join our training team in Riyadh. This role involves delivering hands-on training across manufacturing and industrial sectors, ensuring trainees develop skills in fabrication, machining, sheet metal processes, assembly, and welding. The successful candidate will prepare, deliver, and assess training to support trainees' progression into industry roles. Due to the sensitive nature of this role, candidates will undergo enhanced security checks. Good English competency is mandatory, with proof via IELTS, TOEFL, STEP, or similar if non-native. Employment approval is subject to client final approval.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Training & Course Delivery

  • Deliver high-quality theoretical and practical training in modules including metal fabrication, machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and fastening techniques.

Design and implement engaging, hands-on lessons, workshops, and assessments aligned with industry standards.

Ensure training is industry-focused with real-world applications.

Assess trainees’ understanding, providing feedback to support learning.

Maintain high teaching standards through peer reviews and observations.

Engage and motivate trainees, fostering technical excellence and professionalism.

Course & Program Development

  • Manage course content and success rates.
  • Develop and update training materials to reflect industry advancements and regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of LCI’s training programs.

Quality Assurance & Assessment

  • Conduct assessments and verify documentation per LCI policies.
  • Maintain safety and functionality of training equipment and facilities.

Trainee Engagement & Support

  • Organize industry visits, guest lectures, and projects.
  • Assist in trainee recruitment and enrollment.
  • Provide mentorship and career guidance.
  • Promote equal opportunities and trainee welfare.

Collaboration & Professional Development

  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance learning.
  • Stay updated with industry and pedagogical developments.

Other duties as required, compliant with UK and Saudi law, as directed by management.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS :

Essential Requirements

  • At least 3 years of industry experience in metal fabrication, machining, sheet metal work, fastening, or welding, preferably in manufacturing, aviation, automotive, or heavy industry.
  • Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Production Technology, or a related field, or recognized professional certifications such as CSWIP, CWI, PCN Level II/III, or ASNT Level II/III.
  • Certified CNC Machinist (Siemens, Mastercam, FANUC).
  • Excellent communication skills; motivation to engage and inspire trainees (CEFR B1 English minimum).
  • Enhanced security clearance required.
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations.

Desirable Requirements

  • Teaching or training experience in a technical or vocational setting.
  • Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training, PGCE).
  • Experience with VR/AR technologies.
  • Assessment and internal verification experience; assessor qualifications (CAVA, TAQA).
  • Industry certifications (UK CAA Part 66, EASA Part 66, FAA A&P, GACA AMEL).
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
  • SAMPE, IPC certifications, Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2).

Professional Development

  • Candidates without formal teaching qualifications must complete a Level 4 Certificate within six months, with opportunities for further certifications.

SALARY AND BENEFITS (NON-NEGOTIABLE) :

Base salary SAR17,000/month TAX-FREE

Housing allowance SAR4,250/month TAX-FREE

Transport allowance SAR500/month TAX-FREE

Flight allowance SAR500/month TAX-FREE

Monthly Gross Salary: SAR22,250
