Job summary

HanmiGlobal MENA is seeking an MEP QA Inspector to support the inspection and quality assurance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on construction projects in Riyadh. You will ensure installations meet approved designs, specifications, and industry standards, coordinating with contractors and project teams.

You will review drawings and submittals, prepare detailed inspection reports, and assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Diploma in a related engineering discipline with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
• Solid knowledge of MEP systems and construction practices.
• Familiarity with codes and standards (NFPA, IEC, ASHRAE, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections of MEP systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical installations.
• Verify contractor compliance with drawings, specifications and local codes.
• Monitor construction activities and report deviations or non-conformances.
• Coordinate with contractors and project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Review MEP shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
• Prepare detailed daily inspection reports and maintain records.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover processes for MEP systems.
• Ensure work is performed safely and environmentally compliant.
• Support project engineers with technical site inspections and documentation.

• Solid knowledge of MEP systems and construction practices
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IEC, ASHRAE, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and technical documents
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality assurance
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or similar tools is a plus
• Ability to work effectively on-site in coordination with multi-disciplinary teams
