The Position



As a Medical Manager, you will be pivotal in cultivating strong internal and external relationships to advance patient care and positioning Novo Nordisk as a pioneer in the SCD therapy area through a comprehensive understanding of clinical care pathways, treatment landscapes, and cross-functional collaborations, ensuring compliance with medical regulations.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:




  • Identify unmet needs of patients and physicians to improve patient outcomes.

  • Develop and implement insights-driven medical strategies aligned with cross-functional and global objectives.

  • Collaborate with field medical teams to engage KOLs and healthcare organizations, and lead advisory boards, symposia, and educational initiatives.

  • Act as a strategic interface between internal stakeholders (e.g., marketing, clinical development, market access, HEOR, regulatory) and external partners.

  • Lead training sessions for commercial teams and ensure strong execution of key medical activities across Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region.

Qualifications



We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:




  • A medical degree (MD) is required, with at least 5 years of experience in the medical affairs field in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Demonstrated success in roles within multinational pharmaceutical companies.

  • Background in rare diseases and/or sickle cell disease (SCD) is an advantage.

  • Strong strategic and analytical mindset with proven stakeholder management skills.

  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.

Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and reporting to the Senior Medical and Clinical Director, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to advancing patient care in the Rare Disease therapy area. Rare Disease Portfolio is divided into the Rare Endocrine Disorders and the Rare Blood Disorders. We aspire to launch innovative medications for patients who live with SCD in the future. The department is committed to cultivating strong internal and external relationships, ensuring compliance with medical regulations, and positioning Novo Nordisk as a pioneer in SCD treatment.
