Job Description

A Sterilization Specialist is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the medical and surgical tools used in hospitals to prevent the spread of germs and infections.

Accountabilities
  • Decontamination of surgical and medical instruments.
  • Decontaminate operating areas and set up equipment for surgical procedures.
  • Ensure hospitals comply with regulations and work to protect patients from infections.
  • Assembling medical equipment.
  • Testing and performing routine quality control checks to ensure proper operation.
  • Performing equipment inventory and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate sterilization records.
  • Keeping tools organized, sorting mismatched instrument sets, and making them available for physicians in a timely manner.

The employee's duties are not limited to the above accountabilities. The manager may assign other duties based on business needs.

Work Environment
  • Indoors: 100%
  • Outdoors: 0%
  • Working Days: 6 days/week
  • Days Off: 1 day/week
  • Working Hours: 9 AM to 1 PM and 5 PM to 9 PM with a 4-hour break from 1 PM to 5 PM
Job Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (chemistry, microbiology, biology, biochemistry)
  • Professional accreditation certificate authorized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties
