Job description

A key role is now available for an experienced, hands-on Mechanical Technician to support the modern facilities of a well-regarded company in Jeddah. The successful candidate will be a crucial part of the maintenance team, ensuring all machinery and plant equipment functions at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of mechanical equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, etc.).
  • Quickly and efficiently diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures to minimize downtime.
  • Install and commission new machinery and equipment components according to technical specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and OEM manuals.
  • Diligently document all completed work in the site's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Adhere strictly to all workplace safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

Candidate Profile:

  • A technical diploma or vocational degree in Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related trade.
  • Several years of hands-on experience in the maintenance of industrial plants.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and general machine technology.
  • Proficient in using standard and specialized mechanical tools and measuring instruments.
  • A proactive, "hands-on" mentality and the ability to work independently.
  • Good English communication skills are required for reading technical documents.
