Job Title - Utility Mechanical Technician

Division: Manufacturing Operations

Department: Facility and Maintenance

Location: King Abdullah Economic City, Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose

The Utility Mechanical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical utility systems within a confidential automotive manufacturing facility. This includes systems such as HVAC, compressed air, and water management.

The role requires executing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, supporting equipment upgrades, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. This position is critical for minimizing downtime and maintaining optimal performance of all mechanical systems.

Due to the nature of this role, extended working hours, holiday shifts, and availability for emergency responses are required. The ideal candidate will have a 24/7 service mindset and be adaptable to shift work schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical systems and components ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and take corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems using diagnostic tools with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Assist in the setup and commissioning of new mechanical equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and equipment status.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing ideas and participating in projects.

Skills

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Associate degree in Mechanical Technology or equivalent experience.
  • High school diploma is mandatory.

Experience:
