Job Summary:
The Mechanical Team Lead (Project Office) is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all mechanical systems and installations on the project. This role ensures that all mechanical works are completed in accordance with project specifications, timelines, safety standards, and quality requirements. The position involves close coordination with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams, and plays a critical role in managing technical reviews, inspections, and construction interfaces.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in mechanical systems installation, coordination, and supervision.
- Proven experience in handling large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical equipment systems.
- Knowledge of Saudi building codes and local authority regulations (e.g. Civil Defense, SABIC, SEC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the execution of all mechanical works at site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
- Review and approve mechanical shop drawings, coordination layouts, and submittals.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, electrical, architectural) to resolve technical conflicts.
- Monitor work progress, inspect site activities, and ensure quality and safety compliance.
- Liaise with consultants and clients for inspections, approvals, and technical clarifications.
- Ensure proper documentation of work progress, inspections, and testing activities.
- Support in commissioning, startup, and handover of mechanical systems.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and highlight any issues or delays.
- Manage the mechanical team and subcontractors on-site to ensure productivity and adherence to timelines.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements during mechanical installations and testing.

- Strong understanding of QA/QC, safety, and testing & commissioning procedures.
- Competent in MS Office, AutoCAD, and document control systems.
