Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical/Rotating Equipment Engineer to join the Unconventional Resources (UR) Producing Department.

The UR Producing Department operates surface facilities, including field wells and processing units. The role involves operating well manifolds, providing field services, maintaining facilities, reducing equipment downtime, performing preventive maintenance, and conducting technical engineering and inspection activities.

Key Responsibilities

As a successful candidate, you will:

  1. Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repairing rotating equipment and mechanical systems.
  2. Develop engineering design packages for new installations and upgrades.
  3. Review project proposals and detailed design packages.
  4. Participate in testing, commissioning, and turnaround activities.
  5. Maintain engineering documentation and drawings.
  6. Analyze system performance and propose energy-saving solutions.
  7. Ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely project delivery.
  8. Test and pilot new technologies.
  9. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  10. Report and analyze key performance indicators.
  11. Recommend technical and economic optimizations.
  12. Lead feasibility and profitability studies for new facilities.
  13. Contribute to business strategy.
  14. Mentor and develop junior staff.
  15. Support project and investment evaluations related to Saudi Aramco capital decisions.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university; an MS is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) license is desirable but not mandatory.
  • At least 15 years of experience, including 10 years in industrial operations, particularly in shale gas facilities and modular skids.
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards, such as ASME and API (e.g., API-STD-610 and 617).
  • Experience in creating and modifying PFDs and P&IDs.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing oil and gas rotating equipment like air compressors, pumps, and diesel generators.
  • Experience in schematics, piping diagrams, failure analysis, and field installation/testing of rotating equipment.
  • Understanding of plant operations, process technologies, and logistics, with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
