Aramco occupies a special position in the global energy industry. We are one of the world’s largest producers of hydrocarbons and chemicals, with among the lowest upstream carbon intensities of any major producer.

With significant investments in technology and infrastructure, we aim to maximize the value of the energy we produce while enhancing Aramco’s societal value.

Headquartered in Saudi Arabia, with offices worldwide, we combine market discipline with a forward-looking view, backed by nine decades of experience as responsible stewards of the Kingdom’s hydrocarbon resources. This responsibility drives us to deliver societal and economic benefits to communities, economies, and countries relying on our vital energy supply.

We are among the most profitable companies globally and rank in the top five by market capitalization.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical/Rotating Equipment Engineer to join the Unconventional Resources (UR) Producing Department.

The UR Producing Department operates surface facilities, including field wells and processing units. The role involves operating well manifolds, providing field services, maintaining facilities, reducing equipment downtime, performing preventive maintenance, and conducting technical engineering and inspections.

Your primary responsibility is to lead mechanical design reviews, oversee construction, and lead commissioning and testing activities for new shale gas facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams for troubleshooting and repairing rotating equipment and mechanical systems.
  • Develop engineering design packages for new installations and upgrades.
  • Review project proposals and detailed design packages for new facilities.
  • Participate in testing, commissioning, and turnaround activities.
  • Maintain engineering documentation and drawings.
  • Analyze system performance and identify energy-saving solutions.
  • Ensure solutions are quality, cost-effective, and timely.
  • Test and pilot new technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Report on performance indices and recommend technical or economic optimizations.
  • Lead feasibility and profitability studies for new facilities.
  • Contribute to strategic planning of the business unit.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff.
  • Support project evaluations related to Saudi Aramco's capital investments.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university; an MS is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) license is desirable but not essential.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience, including 10 years in industrial operations, particularly in shale gas facilities and modular skid-mounted units.
  • Knowledge of industry codes such as ASME and API standards (e.g., API-STD-610 and 617).
  • Experience with creating and modifying PFDs and P&IDs.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing oil and gas rotating equipment like compressors, pumps, and generators.
  • Proficiency in creating schematics and piping diagrams.
  • Ability to conduct failure analysis and recommend solutions.
  • Experience with field installation, commissioning, and testing of rotating equipment and piping.
  • Knowledge of piping and equipment layout specification.
  • Understanding of plant operations, process technologies, logistics, and business drivers, with ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
Working Environment

Our employees are motivated by challenging, rewarding opportunities supported by significant investment in capital and technology. We prioritize talent development through extensive training and workforce development programs, one of the largest globally.
