WSP Middle East is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer responsible for supervising the Contractor’s works on a major project in Riyadh.

Qualifications
  • A university degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical works for infrastructure and landscape projects
  • Experience with final acceptance criteria and quality of work
  • Knowledge of inspection test plans and procedures
  • Experience with inspection of construction activities on site, preferably with consultants
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
  • Saudi National ID

Responsibilities
  • Supervise construction, operations, and maintenance activities at the project site
  • Review daily reports and maintain the engineer’s diary
  • Oversee inspectors’ activities and guide site performance
  • Review joint measurement and testing requests and reports
  • Approve shop drawings delegated by the construction manager
  • Monitor survey team performance
  • Coordinate with the contractor’s team on schedule and methods
  • Ensure conformance with the project schedule
  • Conduct field inspections and coordinate with supervisory staff
  • Report to the Construction Manager on contractual and procedural issues
  • Review as-built drawings in coordination with inspectors and surveyors
  • Verify work orders, drawings, and quantities before work begins
  • Check setting out and location of work items
  • Coordinate inspections and site visits with client representatives
  • Communicate with the contractor’s engineers on testing and calculations
  • Attend meetings with clients and their representatives to update on progress
