Westlakes Recruit are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Saudi National) to be based on-site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, working on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to provide critical mechanical engineering support across high-profile projects, with a focus on technical leadership, system analysis, and cross-discipline collaboration. About the Role: • Deliver mechanical engineering support to clients, contributing to the development and analysis of mechanical systems and equipment. • Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including diagrams, specifications, calculations, and design justifications. • Drive key design decisions through technical leadership and problem-solving. • Represent the engineering team in design reviews and presentations to stakeholders. • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and key project stakeholders. • Support and mentor junior engineers, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing.
What We’re Looking For: • Education: BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent in a relevant STEM discipline. • Chartership: Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working toward it – we offer full support on this journey. • Experience: Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in a mechanical engineering role. Technical Expertise: • Experience in designing and delivering mechanical systems or equipment through the full project lifecycle. • Skilled in producing design deliverables (e.g., sizing calculations for fans, pumps, compressors, hydraulics, piping systems, etc.). • Familiar with design and safety standards (knowledge of Defence Standards is a plus, but not essential). • Software Knowledge: Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD or equivalent. • Professional Skills: Strong technical report writing skills and a proactive, professional approach. • Collaboration: Comfortable liaising with other design disciplines and contributing to project-wide coordination. • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new systems, travel for key meetings, and build strong stakeholder relationships. • Please note this role is only open to Saudi Nationals
