Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Refinery, NGLF, or Petrochemical industry, with a focus on asset integrity of stationary equipment. This role requires a dedicated professional with extensive field experience in major turnarounds and troubleshooting.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Experience: 8-15 years in Refinery, NGLF, or Petrochemical industry, specifically in asset integrity of stationary equipment. At least 5-10 years of field experience in plants major turnarounds and field troubleshooting.
- Knowledge: Thorough understanding of best engineering practices, industry codes, and standards (ASME, API, NACE, ASTM, ISO). Proficiency in engineering software.
- Certifications: ASME, API-510, API-570, and API-653 certifications are preferable.
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all operations services for the Refinery and designated company community facilities, including civil, electrical, piping, and process mechanical equipment, pressure vessels, surface preparation, and coating inspection disciplines.
- Ensure all repair, replacement, or facility expansion projects comply with applicable codes and standards or submit and approve proper waivers for deviations.
- Maintain adequate equipment/facility inspection records and fixed equipment repair histories.
- Provide required information for weekly highlights, OP, BP, monthly performance meetings, MIS, Mid-Year, and end accountability.
- Conduct performance evaluations for field supervisors and specialists, and plan promotions for qualified employees.
- Provide technical assistance to Operations, Maintenance, and special projects in resolving issues related to methods and procedures within applicable codes and standards.
- Administer training functions within the unit and promote certification levels.
- Perform periodic on-site inspections of work in progress to resolve problems, provide technical assistance, and evaluate inspection adequacy.
- Collaborate with Engineering Services Inspection Department to develop new Company Standards or improve existing standards and inspection methods.
- Review designs for plant modifications or repairs to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Prepare proactive inspection requirements and forecast the need for new materials for all plant T&Is.
- Maintain an equipment inspection schedule (EIS) for all Refinery plant pressure vessels and fixed equipment, ensuring adherence to approved inspection frequencies.
