Job summary

Alfanar is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to support core manufacturing operations in Riyadh. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with technicians to ensure equipment reliability and uptime on the shop floor.

You will follow safety protocols, document maintenance activity in CMMS, participate in training on bearing systems, lubrication programs, and mechanical upgrades, and contribute to reliability

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission, and heavy structures.
  • Assist in diagnosing faults (bearing failures, hydraulic leaks, gearbox issues) and implement solutions on equipment from conveyors to heavy machinery.
  • Contribute to reliability projects, lubrication programs, and fabrication modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts in CMMS.
  • Participate in training sessions on mechanical systems, welding, and safety standards.

Job description

Core Manufacturing Activities
  • Precast concrete products and architectural elements

Ensure the optimal performance and reliability of equipment through regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Diagnosing mechanical issues, implementing preventative maintenance programs, and collaborating with technicians to enhance equipment longevity and efficiency, ultimately supporting the smooth operation of machinery.

Key Accountability Areas
  • Work alongside senior engineers to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide array of industrial mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission, and heavy‑duty structures.
  • Assist in diagnosing mechanical faults (e.g., bearing failures, hydraulic leaks, gearbox issues) and implementing solutions on equipment ranging from fixed conveyor systems to mobile heavy machinery.
  • Contribute to projects aimed at improving reliability and efficiency, such as mechanical component upgrades, lubrication programs, and fabrication modifications.
  • Learn and strictly adhere to all company safety protocols, including Lockout‑Tagout procedures, contributing to a zero‑harm culture.
  • Help maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts within our digital management system (CMMS).
  • Actively participate in training sessions on mechanical systems, welding techniques, predictive maintenance (vibration analysis), and safety standards.
