Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Lead
As a Mechanical Engineer Lead, you have the opportunity to work on interesting, international sorting systems. Are you the one who can translate a sales system design into an operational system? Do you enjoy navigating projects from start to finish?
From Sales to Go-live
As a Mechanical Engineer Lead, you'll be responsible for leading multidisciplinary projects. You will manage project goals related to time, quality, costs, and functionalities from mechanical, electrical, and controls perspectives. Collaborating with colleagues, you'll identify and capitalize on synergies between multiple ongoing projects.
After sales, our sales team hands over the project to engineering, providing customer requirements and the as-sold solutions, which serve as input for the engineering phase. In the definition phase, you'll work closely with lead engineers, the customer, and project management to agree on system functionalities and develop project plans, considering resources, supply chain, and on-site installation and commissioning.
Once the system design is mutually agreed upon, the detail phase begins, where your team creates specifications for production and procurement, coordinating with internal and third-party suppliers to ensure quality, planning, and costs. During production and procurement, you'll oversee system emulations to validate controls design and prepare for site installation and commissioning.
When the customer's building is ready, installation on-site begins, transforming digital models into real systems. You will guide controls engineers during system commissioning and testing, and participate in acceptance tests with the customer, celebrating the go-live success.
You will continuously identify and mitigate project risks, develop your team’s skills, and stay updated on equipment and process developments. Your suggestions for process improvements are highly valued. Are you a decisive, pragmatic, and enthusiastic individual? Apply now for this exciting opportunity!
