Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Lead

Job Description

As a Project Leader Engineering, you will have the opportunity to work on interesting international sorting systems. Your role involves translating sales system designs into operational systems and guiding projects from start to finish.

From Sales to Go-live

As Project Leader Engineering, you will lead multidisciplinary projects, managing time, quality, costs, and functionalities across mechanical, electrical, and controls aspects. You will identify and leverage synergies between parallel projects to learn and improve.

After a successful sales handover, you will begin the engineering phase, working closely with customers and project management to define system functionalities and develop project plans, considering resources, supply chain, and installation requirements.

Once the system design is agreed upon, your team will create specifications for production and procurement, coordinating with internal and external suppliers to ensure quality, planning, and costs. You will oversee system emulations to validate controls design and prepare for site installation and commissioning.

During installation, you will oversee the physical setup and guide controls engineers through commissioning and testing. You will participate in acceptance tests and the go-live celebration with the customer.

You will continuously identify and mitigate project risks, develop your team’s skills, and stay updated on the latest equipment and process developments. Your suggestions for process improvements are valued, and your pragmatic, enthusiastic approach is essential for success.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Mechanics, Electronics, Controls, or Mechatronics
• Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field
• Several years of experience as a project leader or lead engineer in technical environments
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is preferred
• Willingness to travel internationally
