Job Description
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, project design, and site execution.
- Proven experience in leading engineering development for industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of international engineering standards and codes.
- Proficient in project management methodologies and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, MS Project).
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- PMP certification or equivalent project management training.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Heavy Industrial sectors.
- Familiarity with EPC project lifecycles and contractor management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and technical review of mechanical engineering projects.
- Review project designs submitted by GES (General Engineering Services) contractors and alliance partners for compliance with technical standards and project requirements.
- Ensure adherence to international engineering specifications, industry codes, and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
- Interpret and evaluate engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Utilize engineering software and tools relevant to project planning, design, and execution.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight of mechanical engineering services during project development and execution phases.
- Resolve site-specific design challenges and implement technically sound solutions.
- Manage and control the engineering phase of site projects within scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders for successful project delivery.
- Monitor project progress and initiate corrective actions to meet engineering objectives.
Qualifications:
- B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience, maximum 12 years.
