We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer with 3+ years of experience to support the design and development of mechanical systems for building and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will contribute to the preparation of design drawings, calculations, and specifications, ensuring compliance with project standards, codes, and client requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed mechanical design drawings, layouts, schematics, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
- Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and system design for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, design documentation, and bill of quantities (BOQ).
- Coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Support senior engineers in developing and reviewing project-specific solutions and design optimizations.
- Ensure compliance with local and international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, etc.).
- Participate in design reviews, QA/QC checks, and client meetings when required.
- Assist in responding to RFIs, technical queries, and site support during the construction phase.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design for buildings or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and mechanical calculation software (e.g., HAP, Elite, or Carrier).
- Basic knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, etc.).
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
