Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Consultant Engineer with extensive expertise in stress analysis, design, and mechanical calculations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with various mechanical codes and standards, including ASME VIII DIV.1, ASME B31.3, TEMA, API 510, 560, 936, 570, etc.

He should have experience in a variety of projects, especially in the design and evaluation of specialized equipment such as Catofin Reactors, Charge Heaters, Air Heaters, Cold Boxes, and associated pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform detailed stress analysis, mechanical calculations, and design assessments in accordance with relevant codes and standards such as ASME VIII DIV.1, ASME B31.3, TEMA, and API 510, 560, 936, 570.
  2. Review and analyze mechanical systems and equipment such as Catofin Reactors, Charge Heaters, Air Heaters, Cold Boxes, and associated pipelines.
  3. Provide technical consultancy and expert recommendations on the mechanical design, stress analysis, and material selection for various projects.
  4. Prepare and review mechanical design drawings, calculations, and other technical documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and vendors, to ensure seamless execution of mechanical design projects.
  6. Offer expert guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.
  7. Support project-related activities such as design optimization, failure analysis, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Minimum 25 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in stress analysis and design.
  3. Expert knowledge of industry standards such as ASME VIII DIV.1, ASME B31.3, TEMA, API 510, 560, 936, 570.
  4. Proven experience with Catofin Reactors, Charge Heaters, Air Heaters, Cold Boxes, and associated pipelines.
  5. Strong expertise in conducting mechanical calculations and stress analysis for various mechanical systems.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to provide innovative solutions to complex mechanical engineering challenges.
  7. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with project teams and clients.
  8. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  2. Professional certification (e.g., PE, PMP) would be an advantage.
  3. Experience with international engineering standards and practices.
  4. Experience in SABIC or ARAMCO more preferable.
  5. Work experience in shutdown & maintenance work.
