Job Description
- Lead and manage all mechanical construction activities to ensure successful project completion within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Supervise and coordinate the installation, fabrication, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Oversee on-site mechanical construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficiency, productivity, and high-quality workmanship.
Compliance & Quality Control
- Ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications, industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct site inspections, implement quality control checks, and troubleshoot construction-related issues as needed.
Coordination & Communication
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to align construction activities with overall project objectives.
- Prepare, review, and manage mechanical construction documentation, including work schedules, progress reports, and technical drawings.
- Act as a key point of contact between stakeholders to ensure clear communication and effective coordination.
Financial & Risk Management
- Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-control strategies.
- Identify potential risks, deviations, and delays, and develop corrective action plans to mitigate issues.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Compliance
- Implement and enforce HSE policies to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Ensure all personnel adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations at all project sites.
Desired Candidate Profile
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BTech) is required; Master’s degree (MTech) is preferred.
Professional Experience & Skills
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in mechanical construction, particularly within oil, gas, chemical, or petrochemical industries.
- GCC experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical construction methodologies, piping systems, rotating/static equipment, and material selection.
- Proficiency in construction management software and engineering tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Expertise in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and risk assessment.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME, API, and ISO.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
