Job Purpose:

• Indirect/direct buyer in Materials Planning department of LSA for given material groups to ensure materials are purchased and received on time as per production schedule.
• Be a key player in strategic process transformation in materials and demand planning management.
• Be accountable in running MRP to achieve overall production levels as per parameters & factory load.

Key Accountabilities:

Description of the Accountability

• Direct / Indirect Purchaser of material required for scheduled production as per Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning.
• Be accountable and responsible to run MRP in Microsoft AX system for all aspects of material planning (MRP) requirements.
• Coordinate with department heads for material planning.
• Ensure all rules and processes are adhered to properly and process standardization is in place.
• Develop competence in ERP system (AX) usage in Materials Planning, update master data, maintain inventory policies, supplier codes, and price lists. Work on updating and maintaining safety stock, evaluate and review inventory impact.
• Participate in internal & external ISO quality audits in the Material Planning department.
• Support expediting materials deliveries as per production schedule.
• Update MRP parameters in AX, maintain safety stock levels as per factory load.

Job Context:

The position is responsible for:

• Material availability for production as per SIOP plan & weekly plan.
• Managing material availability with minimal stock loss, optimal safety stock levels, and maintaining high accuracy (>99.2%) in material availability to production.
• Maintaining system data and parameters related to MRP.
• Ensuring overall efficiency regarding material costs and lead times aligned with yearly targets.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, or engineering with Supply Chain Professional certification.

Minimum Experience:

• Over 3 years in Direct/Indirect Purchase in a manufacturing company, preferably in the switchgear industry.

Job-Specific Skills:

• Excellent negotiation and persuasive skills with technical knowledge of electrical materials and suppliers regionally and internationally.
• Experience in vendor development and supply sourcing.
• Experience working with global suppliers.
• Proactive, takes initiative for additional responsibilities.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Data-driven, logical thinker.
• Impeccable integrity.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft AX.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience in the Middle East market is advantageous.
