Job Purpose

• Inbound materials planning to ensure short and long-term sales requirements are supported, by sound and achievable decision making.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders: procurement, external suppliers, manufacturing, demand planning.
• Ensure planning processes optimize materials availability to achieve customer service metrics (OTIF) while maximizing inventory turns and minimizing costs (OWC & SLOB management).
• Support local customs clearance processes of inbound materials.

Key Accountabilities

Planning:

• Analyze demand to translate into purchase plans for locally sourced and imported materials.
• Plan materials with a focus on balancing cost and customer service.
• Analyze to prevent over/under stocking, manage short and long-term inventory, and handle out-of-stock situations.
• Manage reduction and prevention of slow and obsolete stock, including phase-out and phase-in.
• Maintain materials delivery schedules with suppliers as per requirements.
• Analyze supplier performance for corrective and preventative actions on service failures, driving improvement plans.
• Balance replenishment considering site warehouse capacity.
• Take ownership of continuous improvement and performance management processes.
• Coordinate customs clearance processes with relevant parties.

SAP Experience:

• MRP analysis for nett requirements.
• Create and maintain purchase orders reflecting the replenishment plan.
• Manage MRP exceptions daily/weekly.
• Analyze material shortages for resolution.

Continuous Improvement:

• Manage master data in accordance with inventory policies and MRP parameters (e.g., ABCXYZ segmentation, lead times, safety stock levels).
• Support implementation of continuous improvement projects.

Experience

• University degree in relevant field.
• Minimum 4 years experience in FMCG supply planning.
• Experience with SAP ECC-PP.
• Understanding of production planning and its inter-dependencies with material planning.
• Experience with local customs clearance processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
