Job Description

We are currently seeking passionate and dynamic Materials professionals who pride themselves on delivering extraordinary customer service and providing creative solutions to our guests.

As a Materials Officer, you will be responsible for executing, completing, and ordering all daily allocated and authorized purchase requests and orders in line with hotel and storeroom needs. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Completing all administrative procedures concerning allocated requests and orders
  2. Selecting the best price quotations and ensuring the best quality for all received orders upon order allocation confirmation
  3. Querying and clarifying any concerns regarding received purchase requests data, including description, units, quantities, and specifications, directly with the initiating department
  4. Coordinating with buyers on all matters concerning allocated requests, best practices to process (quotes), and completing (delivery) within a logical time frame
  5. Checking and ensuring that all approved and authorized purchase orders are timely forwarded (faxed or delivered) to the concerned vendors
  6. Reviewing and updating all personally entered (locked) price quotations, supplier data, and date validity
  7. Interacting with vendors about new products available in the market to serve as possible alternatives, informing concerned parties, requesting samples for testing, and providing proof of quality and better pricing
Skills, Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should ideally have a bachelor's degree with previous experience in Materials within a multinational group. Command of an international computer purchasing system software and previous Middle East experience are essential. Good command of written and spoken English is a must; knowledge of Arabic is an added benefit.
