A leading company in construction seeks a team lead for material planning in Saudi Arabia. This role involves coordinating material logistics and ensuring that project sites receive essential supplies on time. Candidates should have substantial experience in procurement and materials management, ideally with advanced knowledge in engineering and construction operations.
In this role, you will lead a team and support material planning and/or material coordination for a project. Planning involves providing work process and system expertise during the early project stages. Coordination will include communicating material availability, accuracy, and timeliness to the correct location. Your team will ensure the location receives the required materials to complete the project.
• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience. • Advanced knowledge of all procurement operations related to the management of materials at area, regional, temporary and jobsite office locations. • Advanced knowledge in Field Engineering and Construction activities, and knowledge of Standard Work Process Procedures related to materials management functions. • Advanced knowledge of all Engineering disciplines, the work process and the deliverables produced. • Advanced knowledge of applicable Bechtel policies, instructions, and Procurement procedures and guidelines. • Advanced knowledge and experience in the use of the Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS), SiteSense and related engineering and other project data systems that interface with DSCS. • Prior experience in major global, direct hire and contract management projects, which include Engineering, Procurement and materials control activities.
