Job description

We are looking for a passionate, self-driven, and experienced material planning officer to join one of the fastest-growing industrial engineering companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that specializes in metal and industrial processes.


The material planning officer will be responsible for overseeing material requirements for our production operations. The ideal candidate will ensure that all necessary components and raw materials are available in the right quantities and at the right time to support efficient production and on-time delivery.


Key Accountabilities
  1. Work closely with the production, procurement, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow.
  2. Track supplier delivery schedules and escalate delays or discrepancies.
  3. Update and maintain planning information in ERP/MRP systems.
  4. Support cost-saving initiatives through efficient material usage and waste reduction.
  5. Prepare material status reports and present findings to management regularly.
  6. Plan and forecast material requirements based on the production schedule and customer demand.
  7. Generate purchase requisitions and follow up with the procurement team to ensure timely material availability.
  8. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the store/warehouse to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  9. Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy and update material master data as needed.
  10. Analyze usage trends and consumption rates to optimize safety stock and reorder levels.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  2. 2 to 5 years of experience in material planning or inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Knowledge of electrical components used in switchgear or control panel manufacturing is highly desirable.
  4. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo).
  5. Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  6. Solid understanding of inventory control principles and material flow.
  7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
