A leading company in the construction industry is seeking a Material Planning Engineer to ensure all required materials align with project schedules. This role is integral for demand forecasting, inventory planning, and collaboration with procurement teams to enhance material management effectively. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree and significant experience in material planning.
The Material Planning Engineers are responsible for material planning and ensuring that all required materials are available according to multiple project schedules. This role involves demand forecasting, inventory planning, and collaborating with procurement teams & material engineers to ensure materials are ordered and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage material planning schedules aligned with project timelines and milestones.
• Forecast material requirements based on project demands and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely ordering.
• Monitor inventory levels and adjust planning schedules to avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to address any material planning issues.
• Analyze historical data and trends to improve planning accuracy and inventory management.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in material planning or supply chain management.
Skills: Strong analytical skills, knowledge of material planning software, and experience in demand forecasting and inventory management
