Under the United States (U.S.) Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) GILE program, Team V2X provides: global multi-disciplined engineering; facilities; sustainment and maintenance of intelligence systems; integration of new technologies; portal management; hardware design; network management; technology development; and logistics support to various military and intelligence agencies. Team V2X aims to enable INSCOM's mission of anticipating requirements and employing innovative techniques to support Soldiers, Civilians, and systems across multiple locations.

This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform inspections on HVAC systems to evaluate condition, identify repairs, and recommend or perform preventive maintenance. Clean, lubricate, and repack system parts.
  2. Track performance of routine maintenance and troubleshoot complex HVAC/R system problems requiring judgment to locate malfunctions.
  3. Respond to service calls and inspections, producing reports via CMMS regarding equipment issues.
  4. Respond to emergencies during and after hours, diagnosing and resolving HVAC system failures.
  5. Install, repair, and maintain large commercial and industrial HVAC systems with complex issues.
  6. Perform recurring work on exhaust fans, boilers, air handlers, pumps, motors, and related equipment, including control systems.
  7. Design, modify, and repair critical environmental systems and controls within sensitive facilities, including SCIFs.
  8. Provide technical support for security-sensitive systems, ensuring high system availability.
  9. Document technical findings and recommendations in classified reports.
  10. Support emergency fault isolation for fire detection and suppression systems.
  11. Maintain and calibrate environmental control systems used in sensitive military installations.
  12. Perform worldwide deployments in mobile environments, providing expert technical assistance in operational settings.
  13. Respond to off-duty calls to support critical system outages and provide rapid support in hazardous environments.
  14. Support U.S. Army systems on-site and be prepared to deploy internationally for contingency missions.
  15. Conduct daily surveillance of equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  16. Follow all safety policies and wear PPE in accordance with OSHA, ECAP, and NEC standards, including handling chemicals and working in confined spaces.
  17. Attend periodic safety training sessions.
  18. Submit work orders for repairs and perform daily operations of building systems, including control systems like Tridium Niagara and JCI Metasys.
  19. Maintain and update system schematics and logs, and perform electrical controls repairs to meet regulatory standards.
  20. Assist with oversight of contractors during repair or renovation projects.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of related experience leading to licensure as a Master HVAC technician, or equivalent certification, OR
  • 12 years of military HVAC training/experience.

Security Clearance Requirement

  • Must be a US Citizen with Final Top-Secret Clearance based on a TIER 5 Background Investigation and eligibility for access to SCI per ICD 704.
  • Some roles may require a CI Scope Polygraph, especially for access to TDN2.
