Role Overview

Our client is looking for a Master Data Quality & Engineering Manager to lead initiatives that ensure the integrity, consistency, and reliability of enterprise-wide master data. This individual will shape and embed data quality frameworks and governance structures, enabling data-driven decision-making and enhancing operational performance across the organization. The role requires a hands-on leader who can drive standards, tools, and cultural change within a growing data environment.

Core Responsibilities

Strategy & Oversight

  • Contribute to the development of data quality strategies and annual plans that align with both departmental goals and broader business objectives.
  • Track performance metrics across data quality initiatives and provide leadership with insights and actions to address any emerging issues.

Operational Execution

  • Design and implement a company-wide framework for monitoring and improving data quality, including processes for profiling, cleansing, and auditing.
  • Leverage technology to automate and standardize data quality controls, ensuring data remains accurate, secure, and compliant.

Team Management & Development

  • Oversee daily operations of the data quality function, ensuring projects and tasks are delivered efficiently and in line with business priorities.
  • Support team development through structured feedback, coaching, and identification of training needs, working closely with HR to maintain capability levels.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Continuously review systems, workflows, and standards to identify areas for improvement, aligning with best practices and regulatory expectations.
  • Ensure that data activities meet internal governance and align with external data privacy and quality requirements.

Change Management

  • Lead initiatives to evolve systems and processes, ensuring alignment with international benchmarks and industry innovations.
  • Help embed a culture of continuous improvement by championing the value of data quality across the business.

Reporting & Insights

  • Produce timely reports and dashboards that track data quality trends, flag issues, and support leadership in strategic decision-making.
  • Deliver recommendations and analysis that demonstrate how data quality impacts broader operational efficiency and compliance goals.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Certifications

  • Professional certifications such as CDMP or CDQP are advantageous.

Experience

  • At least 9 years in data management or IT, with 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing data quality programs that support enterprise growth and compliance.
