Overview

We are seeking a Marketing Specialist to join the Strategic Studies & Market Analysis Division of Crude Oil Sales & Marketing Dept (COSMD).

The Strategic Studies & Market Analysis Division is responsible for providing oil market analysis, market intelligence and data analytics, strategic studies, market research, as well as project management and coordination within the crude oil sales and marketing department.

Your primary role is to oversee and manage various marketing activities, drive marketing research initiatives, and optimize performance to support the company’s overall marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expertise in crude oil placement strategy and market analysis.
  • Participate in analysis and strategy development addressing short- and long-term needs, complex issues, and challenges.
  • Mentor, train, and develop team members to understand complex crude oil market concepts.
  • Undertake complex studies within your expertise to influence the company’s operations.
  • Monitor and forecast market trends and their viability over time.
  • Coordinate work on special studies and consult directly with Executive Management on emerging issues.
  • Provide expert advice on complex planning and analysis to senior personnel and management.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on low carbon initiatives, including presenting analytical results and supporting organizational efforts in low carbon products.
  • Support commercialization of low carbon crude oil and products like LCAF, SAF, Naphtha, focusing on offsetting and carbon markets mechanisms.
  • Prepare and present analyses and recommendations on petroleum market issues to management.
Minimum requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Advanced degree in economics, energy, or an MBA is preferred.
  • Over 12 years of experience in oil and gas sustainability, ESG, and the carbon market industry.
  • Knowledge of carbon markets, environmental regulations, and implications of global climate policies.
  • Extensive knowledge of global crude oil markets, pricing, and reporting methodologies.
  • Familiarity with refinery operations, petrochemicals, linear programming, and financial modeling.
  • Understanding of refining economics.
