Job description

Introduction:

One of our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Marketing and Business Development Manager who will be responsible for driving growth across diverse applications, including water projects, borehole systems, pumping stations, and advanced engineering products. This role blends marketing expertise with business acumen to increase brand awareness, develop customer engagement strategies, and drive sales for both project and retail channels. The Manager will lead initiatives across a broad product range, from submersible borehole pumps and RO pumps to firefighting systems and irrigation solutions, contributing to the companys success and market expansion.

Position Objectives:

  • Increase brand visibility and drive revenue growth within target sectors, including water management, pumping solutions, and high-tech engineering products.
  • Lead business development efforts to capture project sales and retail sales opportunities in alignment with company objectives.
  • Build and strengthen customer relationships to enhance engagement, retention, and long-term satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy Development and Execution:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the full product range, including portable and ground water projects, pumping systems, and desalination solutions.
  • Implement targeted marketing campaigns that focus on specific applications, such as irrigation, stormwater management, firefighting systems, and food and beverage pumping applications.
  • Allocate and manage the marketing budget to optimize ROI on project and retail sales initiatives.

Business Development and Sales Enablement:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify high-potential project sales and retail sales opportunities, developing tailored approaches for customer acquisition and retention.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, contractors, and industry partners to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Organize and participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the companys products and services, generate leads, and build industry connections.

Market Research and Competitive Analysis:

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis across all product categories, including borehole applications, RO and desalination pumps, sewage treatment, and hi-tech engineering products.
  • Leverage insights from research to refine sales strategies, identify emerging trends, and explore potential new markets.

Cross-functional Collaboration and Team Leadership:

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional efforts between marketing, sales, product development, and customer support to ensure consistent messaging and streamlined execution of initiatives.
  • Oversee the development of high-quality marketing collateral (e.g., presentations, brochures, and proposals) that effectively communicate the unique value of the companys solutions.

Campaign Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Track and analyze campaign performance metrics, sales data, and market feedback to assess the effectiveness of marketing and business development strategies.
  • Use insights from data to optimize ongoing campaigns, reporting on outcomes and providing actionable recommendations for senior management.

Product and Technical Knowledge:

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the full product portfolio, including submersible borehole pumps, valves, fittings, and electromechanical accessories, to effectively communicate product benefits to clients and partners.
  • Stay updated on advancements in engineering, product technologies, and best practices to continually improve the companys offerings and customer engagement efforts.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

Required Education Level:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Masters preferred).

Required Experience:

  1. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in marketing and business development, with a proven track record of driving growth and increasing market share. (Preferred in water sector)
  2. Experience managing marketing budgets and analyzing performance metrics to optimize strategies.
  3. Strong background in relationship management, with demonstrated ability to build partnerships and engage clients.
