We are seeking a Marine Engineering Director to be part of a team responsible for delivering Marine Engineering from a Design and Construction perspective for THE LINE project region.
Requirements Summary:
- Extensive experience in Marine Engineering from both consultant and client perspectives; experience with Marine engineering design in KSA is an asset.
- Proficiency in process mapping and process modelling tools.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Negotiation skills to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Role Competencies & Activities:
The Marine Engineering Director will be responsible for:
Key Accountabilities:
- Deliver the Marine Engineering Strategy, Design, and Construction scope for THE LINE, ensuring project goals are met in terms of budget, schedule, quality, and sustainability.
- Support the LINE Design Project Engineering Management teams and oversee procurement and management of LINE Projects.
- Ensure overall accountability for Marine Engineering systems in the LINE region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a Marine Engineering strategy aligned with the LINE delivery objectives.
- Create implementation plans considering project-specific requirements, timelines, and budgets.
- Leverage industry knowledge to source opportunities and evaluate technologies for Marine Engineering.
- Establish partnerships with technology providers, research institutions, and industry experts.
- Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, providing mentorship and guidance.
- Analyze complex issues and develop innovative solutions for project success.
- Define KPIs to monitor Marine Engineering impact on project performance and sustainability.
- Monitor progress and report to leadership regularly.
- Stay informed about latest trends and advancements in Marine Engineering.
Experience & Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Minimum of 25 years in Marine Engineering and related fields.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- High emotional intelligence and diplomatic skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant professional memberships or accreditation.
