Working as part of a single LINE organization, the role is accountable for the successful delivery of Marine Engineering from a Design and Construction perspective in THE LINE region.

THE LINE region encompasses various projects over 9,500 km², including the initial Hidden Marina Mirror Line phase 1 modules, the Landscapes of THE LINE, three 'special projects', and the NEOM International Airport (NIA).

Requirements Summary:

Experience with Marine Engineering from both a consultant and client perspective, experience with Marine engineering design in KSA is an asset. Skills in process mapping, process modelling tools, data analysis, and reporting are required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for engaging effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, negotiate successfully, and adapt strategies as needed. Leadership skills to influence and guide others, with a commitment to ethical standards in all stakeholder interactions.

Role Competencies & Activities:

The Marine Engineering Director will be responsible for:

  1. Delivering the Marine Engineering Strategy, Design, and Construction scope for THE LINE, ensuring alignment with project goals concerning budget, schedule, quality, and sustainability.
  2. Leading a multidisciplinary engineering team supporting the design project management teams for regional assets and overseeing procurement and management of LINE projects.
  3. Developing and implementing Marine Engineering strategies, plans, and technology evaluations.
  4. Establishing strategic partnerships, fostering innovation, and mentoring team members to achieve excellence.
  5. Monitoring KPIs related to project timelines, costs, and environmental impact, and reporting progress to leadership.
  6. Leveraging industry trends and advancements to inform decision-making.

Experience & Qualifications:

Minimum of 25 years in Marine Engineering and related fields. Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure with high emotional intelligence.

Relevant Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree preferred or equivalent through professional memberships. Relevant professional memberships/accreditations are also required.
