Job summary

A leading company in the oil and gas sector seeks a Manual and CNC Machinist to join their team. The ideal candidate will operate CNC machinery, ensuring high precision in fabricating parts while adhering to stringent quality standards. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, interpreting technical documents, and working with various materials. Candidates should possess a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and have at least 5 years of related experience in machining.

Qualifications

• 5 Years machining experience in automotive and/or oil and gas.
• Ability to read blueprints and safety guidelines.
• Experience with CNC equipment (Fanuc / Mazatrol).

Responsibilities

Job description

Purpose

The Manual and CNC Machinist plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by setting up and operating specialized equipment to fabricate precise parts. This includes working with both conventional machinery, such as CNC lathes and mills, and advanced numerical control (NC) machines utilizing systems like Fanuc or Mazatrol. These machines are employed to produce parts from various materials, including metals and nonmetals, ensuring each piece meets the organization’s stringent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate various machining equipment, including CNC lathes, mills, and machining centers.
• Ensure all equipment operates efficiently to produce parts that adhere to organizational quality standards.
• Read and interpret sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications.
• Determine dimensions, tolerances, operation sequences, and setup requirements for each job.

Knowledge and Experience:

• 5 Years Machining Experience preferable in Automotive and/or Oil and Gas preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must have working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Must be able to select, align, secure holding fixtures and set offsets for, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on mills and / or lathes.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Experience in CNC Programming (Fanuc / Mazatrol)

Education and Certifications:

• Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or any related field.
