Job Title : Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Location : Riyadh

Our Opportunity :

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will oversee manufacturing activities within subcontractor facilities and serve as the primary operational contact between subcontractors and Thales OME (Optronics and Missile Electronics) UK.

Roles & Responsibilities :

  1. Manage and coordinate manufacturing activities at subcontractor facilities.
  2. Support the transfer of new products from development to production, ensuring technical performance, functionality, and quality.
  3. Plan, estimate, and execute engineering activities related to product assembly and testing within a program environment.
  4. Lead a cross-functional manufacturing team and collaborate with Program Managers, Industrial Architect, Manufacturing Engineer, Product Design Authority, and Systems Engineering Manager, primarily based in the UK.
  5. Implement manufacturing activities according to plans and flowcharts, within environmental constraints.
  6. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
  7. Network with fellow engineers to enhance knowledge and domain expertise.

About You :

  1. 10+ years of experience in a Manufacturing/Engineering environment, preferably Electronics.
  2. Relevant Engineering degree, preferably in Electronics or Electrical.
  3. Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and Production Transfer.
  4. Proven leadership in managing teams and stakeholders in a factory setting.
  5. Experience with electronics or electrical design, assembly, circuit boards, and testing.
  6. Experience managing non-conformance issues, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  7. Knowledge of process control and statistical analysis.
  8. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams.
  9. Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  10. Analytical, methodical, and organized approach.
  11. Experience in the defence or aerospace sector is desirable but not mandatory.
